A question about : Will putting my insurance in a trust require a signature or two?

Hi, all,

I wanted to just do a simple will but can't find the two signatures I need for one. Will putting my life insurance in to a trust or whatever it is require a signature? Or can I use someone easy for a signature, like doctor? What is the whole trust thing as well? Thanks.

A question about : Accident in borrowed vehicle

Just checking how this works on behalf of wife's workmate.

Her car was off the road but insured fully comp with LV=
Policy says she is covered 3rd party to drive other vehicles.
She borrowed a friends car with their permission.

She had an accident today.
Other driver admitted she was at fault.
There is a witness. Police were present.

She phoned LV= who explained its 3rd party only and weren't going to help with the claim.

A question about : Shortfall in Life Insurance payout to estate

I'm executor to my uncle's estate.

The life Insurance company provided a value of the policy {about Ј130k] on date of death and I duly declared this on the inheritance tax forms and paid tax on it as the estate was large enough to incur tax.

However, the insurance company have paid a 'claim value' based on the date when I called to tell them my uncle had died which was 14 days after the date of death. That value is just over Ј2000 less because the value of the investments have gone down.

A question about : Car Insurance Claim

I'm looking for some advice please.

Back in Jan 2014 I was involved in a minor RTA which was the other parties fault and they fully admitted responsibility at the scene.

When it came to the actual claim they then denied responsibility.

The claim was then transferred to the solicitors by my insurer and I filled in a load of Small Claims courts documents and sent them back to the solicitors.

can anyone tell me if you have to die within a certain time frame (say one year) from diagnosis of a terminal illness to qualify for a life insurance pay out? (I can't find it in small print). Ty

A question about : Car insurance cancelled after write off

I had a single vehicle low speed accident about 3 weeks ago when my car skidded on some ice and slid into a ditch. After being recovered, the car insurance company (Elephant) very quickly wrote the car off, paid out and I then received a letter notifying me that they had cancelled my insurance as the car was a write off and the claim had been finalised.

I am wondering if anyone can possibly advise why my car insurance has nearly double in the last year? Last year I paid approximately Ј370 for fully comp insurance and this year the cheapest I can get is Ј590 adding on my parents and having a Ј700 excess on the policy. If I put the excess to Ј250 I am looking at Ј675 as the cheapest.
