Hello folks!

I am starting this thread as a follow-on from a thread I started on another board here that ended up a bit of a mess due to other people's pessimism. Mods, please do not move this thread as I don't want it on the 'up your income' boards etc as it's intended as a bit of fun and I want it hosted somewhere that it will be treated as a bit of fun and (hopefully) will provide the readers with some entertainment.

Here is the story: -

A question about : Warm Front Grant saved me a fortune!

Through this site and applying for a Warm Front Grant I am getting my boiler repaired (plumber quoted Ј230 just for the part!), draughtproofing, gas vent (required in cupboard where the boiler is) and have been sent a pack of 12 energy saving lightbulbs.

A question about : Starting to Save!

I thought I'd update the starting point of my journal!

I'm still not in debt in any form, but thanks to this site I've learnt value of money and a bucket full of money saving and making tips. Since I joined I've managed to get afew hundred behind me in 'savings' while still being able to treat myself and buy the things I want. Me and my boyfriend (Frank) managed to save and fully pay for a holiday this december, which would of sempt impossible when I joined this site on the 10th of July.
