A question about : How much do you allow

yourself after food, petrol and all bills have paid for some fun money?

Also just wondered how much would you put into savings?
Have finally paid off my overdraft and am working on a proper budget so am wondering whether to put every penny in to my credit card now or keep some fun money

• To be honest at the moment I don't have any 'fun' money but if I have managed to keep within budget for the week then I would normally 'treat' myself to a nice coffee. But only managed to do that once in 3 weeks and even then it was free from a loyalty card I found at the back of my purse
• I suppose it depends on your personal circumstances, how much debt you have and how much spare cash you have to play with.
  I allow myself Ј25 a week which has to cover anything extra. This might be car parking, kids treats, little things for the house and garden, any toiletries not in the supermarket shop etc. It soon goes!
• Fun money .... sadly missing from my budget too!
  Although I do now have proper amounts set aside for the "incidentals" - clothes (Ј20/month), dentist (Ј10/month), presents etc (1st time EVER!)
  Entertainment is Ј50 but that incl one off purchases such as the new kettle this week!
  Sky (basic package only) is my treat to myself as I can't afford to go out and I do have a massage every 6 weeks or so but that's more an essential as I have a knackered back (painful rather than relaxing).
  My luxuries are my pets.......
• I have an 'entertainment' budget of about Ј20 that pays for my cineworld and netflix subscriptions - I get my moneys worth from both and is pretty much the only money I spend on 'fun stuff'. Anything else like going out to the pub etc. is taken from my general monthly budget of Ј200 that pays for all food and extras each month.
