A question about : Help with a PPI claim

PPI
Hi All, any help would be very welcome
We recently noticed that we had unknowingly taken out a protector with an old mortgage with Natwest Bank, we are looking to make a PPI claim but wanted to check some details first.
We noticed a protector on a statement running from c09/2001 to c01/2007 (not sure of exact date)
From cSept 2001 we paid an amount of Ј17.92 and then it increased to Ј23.04 cNov 2005 until c 2007.
We have the mortgage number.
My wife was a NatWest employee between June 1989 and cApr / May 2006 not sure if this makes a difference to the claim?
I was also employed by NatWest between cMay 2001? To cJan 2003 – but was not employed when my wife took out the mortgage first.
The mortgage would have been in my wifes sole name up until c2002 when I joined the mortgage, until it was paid of in 2007.
We have old bank statements showing the payment going out for the protector payment
We have looked at the Natwest PPI claim for and were wondering how to answer the following questions:-
Section E about your complaint
Where the sale took place?
Information we were given before taking out the insurance?
How the cost / benefits etc were explained?
The questions we asked before taking the insurance?
Why you decided to take the insurance?
QUESTION - We can’t really remember any of the above because it was a long time ago, should we put that we can’t remember?
Finally tell us why are a now unhappy with the insurance:-
Plan to answer as follows:-
We don’t think the policy was ever necessary given the fact that sickness pay was provided up to 12 months by our employer and because we had other savings outside of this. We also don’t ever remember being told the pro and cons of the policy and feel that it was sold as part of something that you had to have with the mortgage.
Do you think that we have a good chance of obtaining a refund for the protector payments?
Any good companies out there that can help with PPI claims?
Thanks
