Just thought I would let you know, lastminute.com are doing cheap hols to Lapland, for family of 4, going in dec for a week half board it's about Ј1000, this is at least Ј500 off the brochure price and is miles cheaper than the short stays.

if you are interested put in 'ski' as your holiday type and then put in 'Finland'

  we are going there for xmas and are so excited, check out the tripadvisor forums for lapland as there is loads of info there on excussions, what to wear etc
• Choose Levi half board 3.5*...bit worried coz price come up at £598 for 3 of us...9th dec..just waiting for email to confirm booking.
• that's with the first child free, even better, here's hoping it's the correct price, if so that is really really good.
• forgot to add, I think this holiday is with inghams, if so then you can book your ski school and excussions with them too, the husky and reindeer trips with them are cheaper than when you get there

• hi thanks for this poe.tuesday, just booked 9th dec from birmingham but page refreshed and when my booking email came through it says depart gatwick arh!!! ive tried ringing the number on mt email but it says closed till monday does anyone know anyway to change this today as i don't want to pay extra charges for correcting this. any advice guys
• sorry supermum4 don't know about changing it but call them first thing and explain, they can be difficult sometimes but hopefully they will deal with the issue as it seems it's theirs.

• Received conformation email, it seems (read the small print) now have to wait for the telephone call to confirm booking and correct security number on reverse of card!! mmmm priced it up with inghams Ј1,498....got feelin this is going to backfire 2moro...

• Hi lynn44 i also booked levi for 9th dec had a problem with the airport though as previously stated so hope i can get it sorted tomorrow fingers and everything else crossed. i'm going on my own with 3 children 1 of which i've had to pay adult price for but still a fantastic price if we get it. which airport are you going from? might see you there i'll be the one flustered to death with my 3 darlings. lol

  Does seem too cheap. Fingers crossed it all works out. Feel bad about boys missing an exciting week at school but if all goes well this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and our last chance really as eldest is at high school next year.

• Hi i just rang them about my airport being wrong and she changed it to birmingham no bother she said she had a few people ringing up today as lastminute had a glitch on their system yesterday. i was asked what price i had on my confirmation email and when i told her she said thats what she also had but thought it must of been a mistake. anyway she said it was all booked and my card had been charged Ј598 for 2 adults and 2 children 9th dec so see you all there i'll be the mam with 3 kids in tow lol

• book the husky and reindeer trips through inghams, they are cheaper than when you get out there, there are the super and the mini safaries, I would go for the super as long as you don't have little children with you
  that's an excellent price shop-to-drop, it's so exciting isn't it?
  you must ensure that you are all prepared for the weather, it will ruin your hols if you get cold, inghams hire out suits, this is much cheaper than buying it all yourself.
