  You have to pay Ј2.99 to subscribe.
  There is a Ј4.99 offer on a legal protection policy ("worth" Ј20).
  They also have some cashback offers.
  Note I have no idea of the quality of the site or the policy so do your own research, but several people have thanked me in the past about this so I guess it's been useful for some.
• Our direct line policy quotes a cancellation fee of pro-rata + 1 month. We cancelled after 3 weeks (sold the car) and they only charged us pro-rata.
• sainsbury's bank car insurance:
  admin fee Ј17.50, cancellation in first year Ј45, subsequent years Ј20.
• Direct Line admin fee: up to £17.85
• My insurance is coming up for renewal soon and last week I received a nice letter from Tesco saying that they would automatically take the premium for next years cover using the card details I supplied last year.
  It was followed by a letter 2 days later telling me that there was a mistake in the renewal letter and the cancellation fee is 1 months premium + Ј10.
  Funnily enough I don't remember checking any boxes to allow repeat payments to be taken from my card.

• I was unaware that Norwich Union charged a fee for cancellation.
  As I had to get a new policy for another vehicle and still keep the vehicle I was selling insured, I had to get a new policy.
  I decided to stay with Norwich for this.
  When I sold my other vehicle and phoned to cancel, they told me there would be a charge.
  Needless to say, I kicked up a huge fuss over the phone, indicating I've been a good customer, have just taken up a new policy with them and that if they charged me this admin fee, they could kiss their business goodbye.
  They waived the fee, as a "goodwill gesture".
  So, bottom line, if you have to cancel, just keep up a huge fuss, say you'll never do business with them again and that you'll tell all your family/mates how rubbish the service is.
  It worked for me.
• I imagine it only worked for you because you had taken out multiple policies with them around that time. What I don't understand is why people would complain about something they had previously agreed to.
• Oh dear I've made a right mess of things here - just got new car, old car insured with tesco so rang them to see how much they would charge for new one and I obviously completely misunderstood this cancellation thing. So.....I've gotten a new policy with esure cos it's far cheaper BUT now realise by the time I've paid Tescos cancellation charges, I would've been better off staying with them until my policy ends in October! Anyone know anything about the 14 day cooling off period which esure offers? If I cancelled would I get back the deposit I've just paid?? :confused: Haven't cancelled tescos as yet. Any help very much appreciated
