Flights, Currency & Car Hire

A question about : Confused over Easyjet baggage allowance ...

Hi

I have booked 2 flights with Easyjet (leaves today!) and am now confused about my luggage alowance. I have checked the t&c's and still can't work it out. Can anyone help please?

I will be travelling with my infant son (7 months). As I am travelling out alone and seats were cheap, we booked 2 seats with the intention of taking his car seat onboard for him to sit in. The confirmation email I reseived states:

Firstly let me say I`ve always been a big fan of RA, getting dirt cheap and even 1p fares.

It now seems that they are trying to make booking a flight as much hassle as they can.
The UK site is useless because you can`t see the whole weeks flights and only moves on one day at a time.
So you switch to the Irish one.

I saw an advert in the Guardian/Observer over the weekend advertising the following company:

rentmac . co . uk

They have a number of xmas deals including a Golf GTI for a week for Ј145 delivered and collected to/from your door.

I'm awaiting an email with confirmation details but they asked that payment should be made via direct bank transfer rather than by the usual methods - which seems a bit odd.

Has anyone else used this company - if so please do let me know.

One thing that stands out from the article is that although Ryanair gets all the stick in the media, they are not alone in these charges. They are all at it - even some transatlantic flights charge for baggage. Quite why any business can get away with charging for the use of a debit card beats me - to my knowledge, it doesn't cost them anything.

If I understand them correctly, under Ryanair's new rules, effective 8 April 2014, if you do not purchase a seat, and therefore have one allocated for you by Ryanair, you have to check in online and print your boarding passes from 7 days to 2 hours before the flight.
