A question about : Compensation or Not ?

Hi All

I'm new to the Forum but hoping someone can assist.

I was delayed on a Viking flight in July 2010 (part of a package holiday).

Viking went into liquidation in October 2010. Can I therefore claim against the tour operator?

Hi All,

Can anyone help with a claim against BH Air?

The original email we sent (using the template here) was responded to saying that they would wait until the result of the Jet2 case before settling. Since the Jet2 result, we have sent 3 further emails and heard nothing back from any of them. The last one was even sent to the named Sales and Marketing person (as listed on their website).

We're stuck as to what to do next.

A question about : Delay

We went to Turkey with First Choice. We were delayed from starting our holiday by half a day. We booked an early flight so we could make use of the first day, however we were diverted from Manchester to Heathrow because the plane had to take a relief crew to Heathrow. When I complained the complaint was rejected because they said the flight was not actually delayed. It departed Manchester at the right time so we were not entitled to compensation. Is this right.

We have recently been the victims of the TAP Cabin crew strikes, meaning that our return flight from Funchal to Heathrow on Saturday 1st November was cancelled. We were emailed 48 hours before our flight by the agent (Bravofly) to say that we need to contact TAP direct.

Wondering if someone could help.

I applied for flight delay compensation from Thomas Cook as we were delayed 9 hours at Manchester airport back in October.

I used the template from this site to which they responded with a very generic letter which states the reason for the delay was weather and they are not liable to pay any compensation.

320 the flight was cancelled and the next flight out was late afternoon arriving back at gatwick around 8.00 in the evening would we be due any flight delay compensation.

I have been following Martin's advice re flight delay compensation for some time, and although I'm still waiting for the conclusion to my claim, I thought I would share my experience so far as you may find it useful.

A question about : Flight Cancellation

I had booked for 8 friends to fly to Mount Kilimanjaro airport with Qatar last October 2014.

I was informed 2-3 weeks before the flight was to depart that the flights had been cancelled due to an 'Involuntary change of schedule'!

We got the option of replacement flights, the only option of which was to fly out a day earlier and return a day later than planned.

We had a motorcycle safari booked in Tanzania, so had to take the flights and ended up paying extra for accommodation and expenses for two days in all.
