A question about : HELP

Hi all

can anyone give me some advice.

i used to have a property with BG

without any notice to me the transferred the account into someone elses name and refused to talk to me as I was not the account holder.

eventually after many months they agreed to transfer the account back into my name but the bill was over Ј300 as they kept messing up the dd instructions.

they insisted that a token meter was installed and slowly the debt was cleared off.

A question about : Condensing Boilers, are they any good?

I am thinking of getting gas central heating using a combi condensing boiler system. These are meant to be energy efficient, meaning good for the environment and cheaper gas bills.

They cost more to put in than the normal combi boiler, but then there is a discount scheme to subsidise the cost of the new boiler.

I am particularly interested to hear from anyone who has a gas condensing combi boiler system, and to know whether they make a difference in terms of efficiency and reliability?

Utility Warehouse

This is a special area for the discussion of Utility Warehouse (Telecom Plus).

Unfortunately, it has become the topic for heated debate in the past and detracted from the main gas & electricity discussions. Therefore I would like to keep it restricted to just this discussion. Past discussions have been closed due to too many arguments between posters. This is a huge drain on resources and if it continues in this thread we'll have no choice but to keep the thread locked.

A question about : arrrrgh! powergen! independent tariff comparisons?

arrrrgh! i've just had the most irritating call centre person on the phone, asking me why i'm trying to switch from powergen to somebody else. she said are you aware that we are the cheapest supplier in your region? i said apparently not, she said no we definitely are, which source tells you we're not? i said 'your own website'. she didn't believe me.

A question about : how do i get rid of gas pay meter

i want to move in to a flat below mine.. its bigger.. but guy has card gas meter (xpnsv).. wud it cost me to get put on to normal meter in,. and do u think there will b lots of bother over his o/s debt.. ???

A question about : Atlantic Electric and Gas

Atlantic Electric and Gas have just released new prices for Atlantic Direct (11.00am 1 Dec 2003)

These prices are for new customers only, existing customers will remain unchanged.

Doorstep Delivery tariffs will also remain unchanged.

They will be live on the Energylinx site later today.

A question about : Excessive gas meter reading

Just received our gas bill for the last quarter, and it's a shocker. It shows usage of an incredible 913 units, bringing our gas bill to Ј450. This compares with average usage of 60 units per quarter over the last year (approx Ј40 per qtr)since we moved to our 1 bedroom flat and there has been no fundamental change to our usage patterns.
