A question about : Bipolar support thread

I thought it might be best to have our own little thread, this is for everyone who has been, thinks they might be or just wants to generally chat about Bipolar.

I myself have just been diagnosed and have loads of unanswered questions, but think it would be nice for a support thread so we can all help each other and understand BP more.

If anyone has any great links to post for good late night reading i would be greatful.

A question about : Blue Badge 'police'

Honestly I can't believe what has just happened. I parked in my local town in a disabled bay, and before I even got my badge out to display, some oldish (well she must have been 60s I guess - if thats ageist I do apologize) woman knocked on the window of the car and ranted on at me that her husband was disabled and she needed the space and because I don't look old (I'm 45 by the way) I guess she took issue with me and wouldn't let me get a word in. Even some passers-by were watching the spectacle unfold!

Hello Friends

It's silly o'clock as I type this, but I've been lying in bed unable to sleep, and it occurs to me that there's not a Depression thread yet.

I think those of us who suffer this can help each other. I'd like to think so, anyway; I do know that, as a MoneySaving forum, it is relevant for those of us who go a bit OTT with the spending when the Black Dog has us. I know I do - I spend far and away too much on alcohol.

A question about : Fibromyalgia

Thought I would just introduce myself, I suffer from Fibromyalgia, and have just joined this forum. In 2007 I had cancer of the uterus and have successfully had it removed. I also have a walking disability caused by a fall in 1995. I also became diabetic last year. There has been a suggestion recently that FM/Thyroid problems (I have underactive thyroid)/Diabetes are all linked.

A question about : Budget

Chancellor has just announced that from 2013 all DLA claimants, new and existing, will have to have medicals.
What happens to all the people with mental health issues who have to go through these.... the docs don't recognise it and once again we will have to fight to keep DLA.

I thought he was going to clamp down on incapacity claimants - not a mention of them.
