Hello and good day.
Thanks in advance for anybody who may be able to help with my problem.
I have recently applied for a new bank account with overdraft and also a credit card.
I was refused for both so decided to try the free trials on equifax and checkmyfile.
A major issue I found was a CCJ for a bill from Yorkshire water which was for money not owed and they have admitted I do not owe them any money as the property it is for is uninhabited.

My inlaws have a problem, 4 years ago they had a car on finance, they returned the car when it was due and got another car with a subsidary of the finance company. There was a lot of issues, which involved a forged signature of my father inlaws from the finance company. It almost went to court but the finance company decided to stop proceedings and stop trying to claim.

I checked my Experian credit file today and was shocked to see CL finance had reported an entry of payments being more than six months late every month for three years between 2007 and 2010.

This was related to two debts that had been transferred to them by Debenhams and B&Q.

A question about : Advice: CapQuest Debt Collection

Hi there,

I have received a text, several phone calls and now a letter from CapQuest relating to unarranged overdraft charges on a bank account I had with Santander. The debt is mine and I am prepared to pay the amount in full, I was was a student at the time and let it get way out of hand when I could have just paid a smaller amount several times. Irresponsible, but I've grown up a little since then, so time to face up to it.

My question is, should I deal with CapQuest, or with Santander?

to cut the long story of it, i will post the complaint i made to a debt recovery firm who are trying to retrieve Ј2,700 from me despite the return of the car.

A few years back my husband received a speeding fine, he was basically caught on the road by an undercover police car, anyway because it wasn't a mobile camera or anything it was something that went to court. It did go to court and my husband was fined (quite a lot given the offence, but that's another story!) the amount was much more than we could afford to pay there and then.
