A question about : In debt because of mail theft

My partner has previously hid mail from me to hide debts, it's nearly lost us our home. A year ago the bank told me I was 6months in arrears on the mortgage, debts from the council had been transferred to our mortgage, I manged to scrape the money together to pay it off.

Yesterday I found a letter from the bailiffs on the doorstep saying we owe Ј600 for council tax, when I rang them they said there were a total of ten cases against us totalling Ј11000. All for unpaid council tax stretching back 10 years.

A question about : Seller sold me wrong item and now taking me to court

I have posted this in the ebay section but really looking for some urgent advice please.

An ebay seller sold me some software on 22nd February 2012 which turned out to be wrong (he sent me an upgrade version as appose to a full retail version). The item cost Ј160 plus postage.

I am writing this on behalf of my father. We work together in the central heating trade. Late last year, we had a dispute with a supplier we had used for a few years. He owed us a credit for a defective programmer & we had asked him several times to sort it before we paid our bill which was little over Ј1000. Prior to this, he supplied us with the wrong cylinder for a job we had, which we then had to source elsewhere costing us the job eventually as the customer was upset.

A question about : Unpaid wages

Hi all, I worked for a company in feb / march 2012 & they never paid my wages (paid a quarter of it said they were unable to pay all) - I sent the part payment back & after much arguing, went to County Court & won a CCJ.

The Company has been aware of this all the way through the process, BUT just as I instruct debt recovery (Sept 2012) - They sent in an Application to set aside stating they never recieved all the documents from the court in the last 6 months due to a business forwarding company not forwarding their mail...

A question about : Council tax and equita bailiff

Hi my 1st post but really panicking & hope someone can help re Council tax & Equita Bailiffs,
To cut a long story short, I had a payment plan in place but have defaulted on it, it has now gone to equita bailiffs, Ive asked them if i can put another DMP in place but they are insisting on the full amount of Ј900 !!!
I know it's my own doing and I do want to pay but there is no way I can afford to pay it in full.

First post and to be honest I'm bricking it!

Yesterday I received what appears to be a notice from Northampton county court that a Ј6600 MBNA debt has been sold to Arrow Global Guernsey Ltd and that Drydens Fairfax Solicitors have applied for a CCJ.

First a bit of background.

A question about : Can't pay my debts

I was unfairly dismissed from my job and have now been rendered unemployable.

I cannot get a job because I have been 'dismissed' and do not now have a reference. I am a former teacher with an unblemished career but this 'dismissed' tag obviously affects my chances of getting a job.

I am nearly 53 so who will employ me under these terms.

I have been unemployed for over a year now and have not accrued any debts while I have been on unemployed and on JSA, simply because I go without, even food, when I have to.
