Hi,

I got married on the 25th August 2012, which cost easily over Ј10,000 just for the venue. I also paid for all 11 of the rooms for the family guests that we wanted to stay.

The day after the wedding we all checked out and all was fine... the day after that I was contacted by the hotel saying there was a coffee stain in one of the carpets that one of the guests had stayed in and they would try and get the stain out otherwise they would pass cost on to me.

I work for a very large company in London and have recently ended a maternity cover role to move back down to an intern contract for the next six months. In doing this I needed to apply for another travel loan for the next six months, which is when the following took place:

In May (when I was on a higher paid contract) I applied for a travel loan to cover my travel up until October that was to be paid back over 5 months. This request was agreed and approved by Payroll and HR.

Sadly she was given her notice at work before she was entitled to and maternity pay and we have struggled with the change of income since accessing govt maternity allowance.

A question about : Debt management company not paid

Hi,
I have previously used a debt management company (Debtcom) and have recently found out that although I had made payments (which I can prove with bank statements) they had not been paying my debts with the money. What can I legally do to get this money back out of them please.

A question about : Paying Debt Collection Agency for 6 years

6 years ago I got into financial difficultly and after turning to
Pay plan, Black Horse refused to cooperate and took me to court resulting in a CCJ for Ј18k.
Black Horse then sold the debt to DLC who I have paid Ј100 a month to ever since.
6 years on the CCJ went historic this month

A question about : poker staking debts

If someone stakes a player in the UK to play poker and gets them to sign a written contract and part of the agreement is that they will pay back in full the amount of money they're down (assuming they're down) when/if they decide to end the staking arrangement is this debt enforceable by law?

I've had someone say it's not enforceable because it's a gambling debt but others seem to think it is.
