Converting Ђ Funds back to Ј

A question about : Converting Ђ Funds back to Ј

So I mistakenly assumed the Post Office would convert the Ђ I purchased from them back to Ј but it turns out they have their own rates and at which you have to sell back to the Post Office.

Anyone know how I can go about converting some Ђ cash back to Ј?

Best answers:

  • Go with an online bank that offers a fixed rate rather than a high street bank who use spot exchange rates. Try Hi Fx, First Rate FX or Moneycorp.

How to fill out Crown insolvency forms

A question about : How to fill out Crown insolvency forms

Victims of the Crown Currency Exchange Collapse will shortly receive important paperwork which must be filled in.

The firm's administrators MCR and SPW will automatically send statutory 'proof of debt' forms to all customers owed money over the next few days (see the MSE hires insolvency expert, Treasury rejects currency regulation and Crown Currency Exchange fails MSE news stories for more).

Can't believe it. I feel like Coop ripped me off!

A question about : Can't believe it. I feel like Coop ripped me off!

Warning: this story contains scenes of mild peril!

I'm off to Greece at the end of next week so thought I'd take the weekend to look at getting my money changed ready (we wanted to ensure they still were a Euro country by time we left). I've settled on taking a float of cash and putting the rest on a Trevelex Mastercard. After going to Coop travel on Saturday we decided to look around but found that 1.18 seemed to be the going rate in Stafford.

Changing large amount of euros into gbp

A question about : Changing large amount of euros into gbp

Hi,

I'm about to finish working in Spain and return to the UK. Before I leave I will be emptying and closing my bank account (doing a money transfer from my bank here to the UK isn't an option.)

I will have around 2500-3000 euros in cash that will need to be paid into my HSBC account as soon as possible as I'm then leaving the country again and traveling to Central America.

My questions are:
Is it possible to pay euros directly into my HSBC account and will I get a fair exchange rate?
