A question about : Asset link capital

Hi there, i an not sure if this post is in the correct category so please accept my apologies if it should be somewhere else.

We had a smile visa card many many years ago which was paid off.

Today we have received a letter from The Co-operative bank informing us that 'your smile visa account has been sold to Asset Link Capital (No 5) Limited', along with a letter from asset link confirming that our account has been sold to them and state that the sale balance is Ј175.31 and to make payments to them in future.

A question about : Noddle (call credit) rating service

Just signed up today, and all good 5/5. Not that it means much. But be aware. When I put my debit card details in it so they could authorise my account, it caused my bank to put a stop on my account, as it was seen as a possible fraudulent transaction.

A question about : CCJ in my name that isn't mine

Hi,

I've just checked my credit file and found a CCJ on there in my name, the only mistake being that it is for 'Mr' whereas I am a 'Miss'.

The CCJ infact belongs to my dad, who shares the same initials as me and we live at the same address - the CCJ on my credit report however is under my full name (just with the incorrect title.)

He has contacted the company who issued the CCJ and they have said they are waiting to hear back from the courts before they can cancel the CCJ in my name.

A question about : Credit report update?

Hi,

just a quick one re my credit report. I have previously defaulted but later satisfied account. Will this remain on my credit report for 6 years from the date of default or 6 years from the satisfied/settled date? For info there's 5.5 years between the to dates.

A question about : Experian & Equifax

Hi everyone,

I just wondered if anyone else is having the same issues I am with the different credit reporting companies...

I bought my equifax report yesterday and got a fair rating. Today I bought the experian one and was rated excellent

I have two small defaults (settled) on my file, one from 2011 and one from 2008 for mobile phone bills.

Any ideas why they would differ so much? Will this affect me when trying to get a mortgage.

A question about : Advice on letter from Lowells

I am after some advice regarding a letter I received from Lowells chasing an extremely old debt on a Capital One account which I settled many years ago. I am not sure if this is the right forum to place this thread on as this is my first attempt to start a discussion.
A bit of history:
I closed my account with Capital One in 2003 after a dispute with them regarding charges they had applied to my account incorrectly (in my opinion).
