Hi all.

I want to knit myself a cardigan and found some lovely wool today that would be perfect for the style I want. The problem is I can't find a pattern. I think it's because I'm using the wrong words when I'm searching for one. So can anyone help me with what the proper name is?

A question about : Floating frame recommendations please

Hi all

I was wondering if any hobbyists on here make any money or break even from their hobby (as opposed to people running actual businesses selling crafty things)?

My brother and sister in law are getting married in August and I made my sis-in-law a tiara. I loved making it and it's become quite a hobby since and I have made loads of tiaras, combs, hairpins and hair vines!

A question about : Sugar starch for lace

I found an online tutorial to make lace napking rings and the instructions were to use a sugar starch solution to 'set' the rings.

Having finally sewn all of the rings (24) I made the sugar starch solution yesterday (125g sugar, 100ml water) and have left the rings drying around a roll of cling film. 24 hours later they are still very sticky and nowhere near hard yet.

The tutorial just said 'leave them to dry, them remove them from the roll and leave to dry further' and that the stickiness will go away when dry.
