A question about : When do CSA payments stop

Can someone tell me exactly when a final payment is made with regards to CSA maintance?
My youngest son will be 19yrs old in September '08 and from my understanding payment should cease on the First Monday of the month in which the19th Birthday falls, he chose to go onto further education at the age of 16.

A question about : What age do you stop paying?

This seems to be a grey area which no-one is really sure about?

Can someone in the know tell me when CSA payments stop?

ie. If they leave school and start work? If they leave school and go to College? If they leave school and go to Uni?

I am looking for ages applicable in Scotland

A question about : CSA Maintenence....

This is a question to all those who read this thread that have had their maintenence assessed through the CSA via the 'Old System'- ie Cases assessed before April 2003?

Has anybody in this situation been transfered over to the 'New System' yet?

I am currently in dispute with the CSA over how long it has taken to change the Old to New, esp in light of the fact that anyone claiming IS who is on the New Systen is Ј520 per year better off than those still on the Old.

A question about : cohabiting and csa

Not sure if anyone can advise me. My partner makes payments for his two children via the CSA which go to his ex-wife. This is 20% of his income. We do not currently live together but are planning to do so in the future. Will my income and assets need to be taken into account when this happens? His earnings will not change but his disposable income will increase as we will only have the one household instead of two. I am just trying to get some information together about how this may affect me. Many thanks.

How does someone find out the amount of money they are allowed to work before money is taken for the child support agency?

I ask because I have a friend who thinks it is better if he only works part time to avoid having to pay. He has 2 children. His ex wife does not work.

I'm beside myself as I have no clue about the CSA.

My other half has 2 kids from his previous marriage. It would be an under statement to say that his Ex wants to destroy him (eg I've seen catalogue bills etc which she continued running up against his address, even some 2 years after she walked out on my hubby with the kids. His credit is totally wrecked as she kept on sabataging their previous home when he found buyers so in the end, the house was reposssessed)

help! just checked my voucher today as i was going to open some sort of account online, but, voucher has expired.

• HMRC will open a Stakeholder CTF on your child's behalf. They will write to you to let you know where they have opened it. You can then either leave it where it is, or move it to where you please.
