A question about : Cheap Energy Club form

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place. Just wanted to understand why I couldn't fill in my Meter Number on the form to do the swap today. I have a mixture of Letters and Digits which show on my energy statement so couldn't supply the required number of digits. Just a small enquiry really as it's too late to do anything now. Thanks for any response, Elaine

  • Hi Elaine
It sounds like you might have being trying to enter your serial number rather than the actual supply details required.
The details required on the form are your MPAN (electricity 13 digits, no letters, sometimes referred to as your supply number) and your MPRN (gas, 6-10 digits, no letters, sometimes referred to as your M number).
Both of these should be on your bill, but if you can't find them your current supplier should be able to help with this.
For further help on this, just click the question mark on the application form next to these sections.
I hope that clears things up for you.
  • Thanks for the quick reply.
Silly me! Tried to enter what was shown on my statements as "Meter numbers" when, in fact, the Electric supply number is what I should be putting in and probably the Gas meter point reference number! That might just do the trick.
Thanks for making me look again.
