A question about : Ceramic Remembrance poppies

My poppy has arrived but I don't know what to do with it. It was going in the garden but apparently the poppies are not frost resistant. Any ideas for displaying it please? It seems a bit top heavy to put in a tall vase.
Thanks!

  • Mine arrived last week. It looks really good in a WWI brass shell vase with dried seed heads etc. The vase is a family heirloom, but if you google it, there are loads online so you can see what I mean & maybe pick one up at auction?
  • My Mum has asked me to make a little display out of hers (along with the booklet that came with it etc) to get framed. I imagine it'll cost a fortune to get the frame made but it'll look good!
  • I have seen online several different ways of displaying them...google ceramic poppy display and lots of different solutions come up....various prices but it might give you a creative thought.
How about a tall vase with some sand in the bottom...or there are little perspex boxes...
There are also companies that are selling deep frames for them
I must admit we ordered 2 for family members and please dont shoot me down when I say I was a little underwhelmed by the dirty poppies with vey corroded sticks that arrived.
I did however think that the box they were packed in was very good!!!
I didnt go to see them at the tower and am more than happy to give to the cause but it seemed that my 2 have certainly been exposed to the elements before they arrived.
