A question about : Business banking for those with poor credit

Hi Guys, long story but cut short, I have a bad credit rating so can't open a business bank account. i don't want any credit facilities, no cheque book or card - just a deposit and withdrawal facility to pay cheques into really.

Phoned the major banks and can't get any help. This seems crazy as i am making money from online business and money going into paypal but i don't want it going into personal bank account.

Any ideas. Turnover for year from self emp expected to be iro Ј20,000

A question about : Opening a new Current Account to Use as a Donor Account

Apologies if this is been asked before.

I am planning to apply for a Halifax Rewards account and would like to get the Ј100 switch bonus. However, I'd like to keep all my existing current accounts for various reasons.

Is it a good idea to open a new current account with one of my existing banks and then use it as a donor account for the switch to Halifax?

Has anyone done this?

Must be fate, I was just looking for somewhere to ask about business bank accounts!

I couldn't find whether it says this in the article but would interest earned in a business savings account have to be entered into our accounts as a business income?
(Thinking about having a business account with a linked business savings account so that we can put money away monthly to pay for the end of year tax bill)

What is Bank Giro Credit ??

I think it's another way of paying bills, but I have never used or understood as I think banks can charge for it & it's not as widely used as other payment methods.
