Hello, I am posting on behalf of my daughter who is at her wits end regarding the mess she has got in with Talk Talk (Phone & Broadband). Unbeknownst to us she didn't pay her phone bill for a couple of months so was cut off. The first we got to know was when she received a scarily written letter from the Frederickson Debt Agency requesting the outstanding balance of Ј135. Not wanting to be taken to court (and also wanting her broadband back to complete her on-line management course) she asked if we could lend her the money to pay the debt.

A question about : Are Sky allowed to do this?

Hi, I have just got off live chat from an adviser and am looking for some advice from people on the site.

My Sky broadband and TV contracts are due to end at the start of March so I had been shopping around for deals on Fibre broadband. Having seen a Talk talk offer I went on live chat with Sky and asked for my Mac code and when asked why entered a negotiation on upgrading with Sky instead.

A question about : BT Broadband keeps dropping

Had BT Broadband for a couple of years now. In the first year it was problem free but for last few months the router has been dropping the signal. Sometimes the reception drops completely and then later resumes of it own accord. At other times the BB is simply sluggish. When this happens and I change to my 3 mobile Mifi there is no problem with accessing the internet and it is up to speed.

I regularly clean up the junk files on my computer and have checked all router, BT and BB connections.

A question about : Talktalk Fibre Large Installation?

I have ordered Talktalk Fibre Large, I was told I can not self install, but I could if I wanted the 38mbps package. I opted for the 78 instead.

I received a letter today stating the engineer will be arriving between 8 am and 1pm and the install takes 3 hours???

What does the install entail? 3 hours sounds like they are digging the street up and rewiring the house? is this normal? (Slight exaggeration )

A question about : pac number after disconnection

i have just disconnected from orange monthly contract, they say i can now not have my pac number transferred to another network, does anybody know a way around this

A question about : Cutting VM cost. how?

I am out of the minimum contract with VM and I have the following

1. Broadband & TV XL
2. Landline (Unused. No phone number or phone connected)

I'm paying Ј78 a month and it just keeps going up.

I tried cancelling the landline because its redundant. But they cant do that.. I had to keep cancelling other services down until I was down to Ј0.00 and no services. It was very convoluted and the gimmicks were as clear as mud.

A question about : BT Infinity Frustration

We ordered BT Infinity before Christmas as they seemed to be the only offering in our area. Sent all our details of current provider (Talktalk) and were told 12th January for connection. Got an email on the morning of 12th Jan to remind up to be home between 08:00 and 13:00 . Took the day off work and waited, and waited, and waited. At 13:39 got a call from a call centre saying no engineers were available and the appointment would be rescheduled to 26th January!

A question about : Feels like duped by a EE agent: Can a EE rep here help me?

After I checked about broadband availability and prices on EE website I had cold calls for the next 3 days from them. I finally spoke to an agent on 29 Jan, he offered me the same deal as on their website plus free mobile data but I told him I wanted to order online through Quidco. He told me that I could order over the phone and they would give me a reference number which I can use online.
