A question about : Work induced stress.

Hello I was looking for some advice as I am at a loss what to do. I have been working for the same organisation for a year and a half and from the start have been open about my history of depression since starting, telling my supervisor, my deputy manager and manager (silly levels of management). About a year ago my deputy manager started making awful comments to me and on speaking up was subsequently threatened with my job by manager for having done so.

A question about : help needed

I work for a security company on 12 hr shifts and at the moment i am working 4 days 3 nights with 4 days off and then i work 3 days and 4 nights with 3 days off duty.

Due to some personel reasons i wanted to change over to permanent nights but my line manager is saying that he will have to ask HR as moving onto nights permanently has a knock on effect with the working directive, whereby you are not exempt from the 48 hours week

can you please advise if this is correct?

A question about : Ex employer withholding wages

Hi there, just needed some advice about my ex-employer withholding wages. I left this employer on the 2/10/12 and my monthly salary was due on the 4/10/12. That wasn't paid and according to my supervisor (who spoke OTR ) they are withholding my salary as they believe me to be in debt to them. Management refuse to discuss the matter by telephone and have said that they will write to me. As of today I have still heard nothing and have had to procure a crisis loan from the DWP until my first payment of JSA some 10 days away..

Hi My daughter's employer has produced a new contract stating that all employees are required to attend without pay fund raising events open days etc . Can they do this?

A question about : Redundancy Notice not given

Hi All,

Looking for a bit of advice for my Girlfriend.

My girlfriend worked in her job from July 2011, she was placed on a consultation period on 4th October stating the company had lost the contract and would potentially making the whole department redundant. The consultantion period was due to end on 2nd November. At the time of being given these letters they were all told they would be redundant as no other jobs would be found. The last day of work was to be October 31st.
