A question about : TUPE or not TUPE

Hello,

Thank you in advance for this message board, I hope that you can shed some light on the options available to me.

I have worked for a small company for 7 years, where I am the only employee along with the 2 directors. Three months ago, due to the business struggling, the directors made a deal of some sort with a larger company who have moved us to a new location. I think that they are basically winding up the old Ltd company and starting fresh with a slightly different name and a new director.

A question about : Is my employer breaking the law?

One of my colleagues was arrested recently and the police asked for CCTV, the manager made 2 copies, 1 for the police and 1 for his records. A few days later my employer pulled us all into the office and showed us the CCTV that the police are using as evidence against my colleague. What can be done about this as i dont think that its fair and surely my employer has broken the law.

A question about : Husband has left work, they have deducted all his wages!

Basically, my husband is paid 4 weekly.
He handed in his notice, followed company procedue and left his position (hes found a new job)
we were expecting his last paypacket on the 5th dec
having checked bank account he hadnt been paid, although he was due 2 weeks wages plus holidays
after recieving his wage slip it revealed he was indeed paid Ј420. however all his wages had been deducted.

A question about : wanting to claim my wage back

Hi
I had a accident at work which resulted in me having to take 2 weeks off and im back only part time. I asked the manager if she would be able to pay my basic wage whist i was off, due to being injured at work. She said no.
i asked her if i could claim through the work insurance which she seemed happy for me to do. I dont want to claim for a accident at work i have called a no win no fee and they would be happy to take it on. But I dont want to go down this route all i want is my basic wage, How do i proceed?

A question about : Possible sick pay mistake by work

Hello,

My OH was off last week 3 days sick. So worked 2 days and also completed overtime for Saturday and Sunday.

He has been paid for his normal 49 hours plus 16 overtime. Now previously when he has been off sick for less than 4 days he has not been paid SSP but on another occasion he was off for a full week and received full pay although this wa due to an accident at work.

A question about : Tax issue leaves me with no wage

I am looking for a bit of advice I am working for an agency at the moment called HR Consultancy and have been on assignment with them since 12th October 2012.

I have been on Tax code 810L W1 until this week when they received a coding notice from HMRC to change me to 810L – when they have done this their system has advised them I owe Ј188.80 tax – leaving me Ј14.99 as a week’s wage. I wasn’t notified of this until 9.30am this morning after payroll had been run leaving me no time to fix the error.

In our workplace managers are trying to move around all the staff at one particular grade so that they will be doing different tasks at the same grade and with no additional/loss of pay they have given us three weeks notice of this change to fall in line with newly promoted staff.

Getting paid by cheque

A question about : Getting paid by cheque

Hi.Where i work we get paid weekly (tuesday) by cheque.As its christmas and we are shut for the week our employer has said we have to wait for that weeks cheque until we return in Jan or he can send it to us,but he wont post it until Thursday 27th so it wont get to us until the following week anyway.

Im just wondering if he is allowed to do this,as it means we are going a week with no wages?

Any help or advice would be really appreciated.Thankyou
