Auto enrolment, pension deducted from salary but not paid to company

A question about : Auto enrolment, pension deducted from salary but not paid to company

My employer has enrolled us into a pension scheme via auto enrolment, and have chosen Standard Life to be the provider.

For the past few months they have taken the deductions out of my pay, and they show on the payslip.

I have received little infomation from my employer or SL, besides the amounts I/they are paying in and that a letter will follow if I want to opt out.

Voluntary contributions to nest

A question about : Voluntary contributions to nest

Currently temping and will take 6 weeks off to go on holiday. I am with Nest and am wondering whether it is worthy for my mum to make a lump sum contribution to my nest pension when I am not working. My pension's pot is not very good as I do casual work and like to travel after each assignment. May be it might be better if she put this money in an isa. Advice, pl. Thanks

Will it be a problem that I will retire with 22 separate pension funds ?

A question about : Will it be a problem that I will retire with 22 separate pension funds ?

I currently have an old Pru personal pension which I pay a small monthly amount into just to keep it going.

I also have a company pension which I joined 10 years ago. I am a seasonal worker with the company, employed from September to March each year. I have no continuity of employment. Each September I return as a new starter.

Whats going to happen to me?

A question about : Whats going to happen to me?

I don't earn over the threshold for my employer to take this up. So what is going to happen to me when I reach pensionable age? Is it going to be a case of getting a letter saying nobody paid into your fund 20 years ago so tough luck.

    Salaried at minimum wage question.

A question about : Salaried at minimum wage question.

Now I dont know much about the new pension thing apart from the new advertising blitz that has cost the taxpayer millions (why are we paying for this when they should have enforced companies to inform us ?).

I'm making a enquiry as for once I was stumped when asked a question, I could not tell them anything in the slightest, other than I dont think legally they can do that, employer insists they can.

Person is salaried full time at minimum wage for 35 hours a week, but this new 8% split...
