A question about : Is it worth opting out?

A friend of mine earns Ј20000, he is 47 and at present has no pension whatsoever, with the new rules coming in he will have to pay into a pension but he is thinking that it will leave him struggling now and may not benefit him in the longer term when he comes to retire, would he be wise to opt out at his age? He's under the impression that anything he gets from it will only be taken from any other benefits he may be entitled to at retirement.

A question about : my temp job has given me a pension

Hi.

I'm temping but my temp job recruitment agency will automatically enrol me into pension from mid-january. I think under new government rules. Just wanted advice - about whether it is worth putting extra money in or pulling the money out totally (if that is easy to do). I know very little about this subject. Think I may be start things myself earlier before automatic enrolment - not sure though. This is just a temp job and it very likely may even end in January.

I retired on 3/2/2015.i have an option 32 pension with coop/royal london transfer value Ј107000.they say no lump sum.but paying Ј5416 per annum. Does this change in april 2015

A question about : moving from a DB scheme

I have a frozen private pension of (frozen since 2000) with a transfer value of Ј500k and an estimated pension payable of Ј15k at age 60yrs.

I also have another final salary public sector pension also estimated to be cЈ15k when I am 60yrs.

A question about : NHS pension advice

I joined NHS pension in 2013 and after several months opted out.
I resigned from the permanent job there is october 2014 and went onto 0 hrs and was automatically opted back in- this is still ongoing

I started a new NHS job in December 2014 and have also been automatically opted into the pension.

This is where i get confused - are both jobs paying into the same pension? Should only one job pay in?

I would like clarification on my situation

I joined the company I currently work for in Feb 2014 working just on a Saturday.

I receieved a letter in April 2014 regarding the auto enrolment which I kept but disregarded as I was earning well below the auto enrolment threshold.
