Asian shops Glasgow / Edinburgh

A question about : Asian shops Glasgow / Edinburgh

Hi everyone

Hope this is the right place to ask! I'm a big fan of all things spicy especially indian style cooking. We've got an asian shop in Falkirk thats pretty good but i was wondering if some larger shops in Edinburgh or Glasgow would have more selection? When I lived down south i went to a massive shop, small supermarket size and thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Anyway if anyone knows of any that are worth a wee visit, Edinburgh would be a bit nearer for me actually, I'd appreciate any suggestions

• I live in Glasgow and there are some great asian shops here. Especially in the Govanhill area. A street called Allison Street is full of different ones, either greengrocers, spice shops, indian sweets and meat.
  The area is known for its high Asian population so hence why there are so many there. It gets a bad reputation because it isnt the nicest looking area but I lived there for many years and made use of most of the shops there
  Not so sure about Edinburgh sorry
• This is supermarket sized, decent prices and a great place for a wonder around too. Great restaurant next door mostly used by Chinese population.

• I don't know what the prices are like, but there's a Asian/Indian/Halal shop, a couple of Polish shops, a Chinese shop and I think a Japanese stop in Stirling, all in the city centre along Viewfield Street, Barnton Street, Murray Place.
  Possibly aimed at the international students at the university.

• Some great Asian stores on Leith Walk in Edinburgh. Everything really, Pats Chung Ying is the biggest if you're into Chinese food, tho' they stock a lot of other produce
• .. forgot to mention a Turkish grocers further down The Walk, and of course the ubiquitous Polski Smaks and Skleps!
