A question about : Asda Price Guarantee

Hi everyone,
I am new to this so please bear with me. Today I went to print off a voucher for the Asda price guarantee only for the website to tell me I had visited 10 times this past month so will be unable to print off my voucher until next month. My question is this....Asda's have a limit of Ј100 per month for vouchers yet they only allow 10 vouchers per month to be printed. Has anyone out there ever had 10 vouchers each worth Ј10? This works out at 2.5 vouchers per week. How do these people who womble the receipts print off so many? Your help much appreciated.

  • You don't need to use a real email address!
Try ccccccccc@gmail.com or any other fictitious gmail addy. All the other details can be cccccccccc too. The only detail that must be a real one is the Postcode, but not necessarily yours!
  • If you have a smartphone download the asda app and put your receipts in here first, the app asks for no details. You can also then input your receipt on the computer and because you have already put in the app it doesn't ask for any details and you can just print it.
  • Use the app for unlimited or just use a different email and postcode. You'll need to use a real postcode but the email can be anything
  • Good morning everyone,
Thank you all for your help. We are now in June so the limit of 10 vouchers should apply yet, again, the Asda website is saying that I have had exceeded my limit!!! Do we know if there is a problem with the actual site.
  • I think I have this sussed. The receipts I am checking are for May, not June. I have tried alternative emails/names and addresses and it still says my limit has been reached. So I think that they wont print off receipts from one month into the next one. I also do not have an android phone, so, unfortunately, the advice kindly given earlier is of no help. I will keep you all updated as to my progress...all this for Ј1.09!
  • try clearing the cookies off your computer. then when you print off put your computer into incognito mode or private browsing.hth
  • I make up both the e-mail and postal addresses.
  • Hello everyone. Firstly, can I thank you all for your patience! This APG thing has been driving me nuts but, I think, its all down to a receipt that the system does not like. Last night I visited my local Asdas and picked up 32(!!!) receipts which yielded Ј24.08 of which I have printed off the ones over Ј1 with no problems, so many thanks to all that viewed and tried to help me...it is much appreciated I can tell you. I am on a mission now, today I went back to get a refund on an over charge and whilst there wombled another 10 receipts which took my total wombled APG for 2 days to a whopping Ј36 off Asdas shopping. My next question (sorry)...what is the total amount in APG vouchers that Asdas will accept per shop as I am now the main breadwinner, hubby having been made redundant recently and now on the UB40. Thank you all in advance,
  • Good afternoon everyone,
Here we go again! I have hit the 10 visit limit a moment ago. I have changed the email address etc and input the TC# and it says that I have reached my 10 visit limit. I think that when you reach your 11th visit, the system blocks that particular receipt, which is really annoying as this one if for Ј1.93 and I can't print it off. tc# is as follows:
    9327 9649 9393 8754 6632
Please let me know if anyone has any success in printing this off.
    Good luck.
PS. I have printed off a total of Ј39 in APG vouchers. Does anybody know what the maximum amount of these vouchers Asdas will accept at a time. Thank you all again.
  • Sorry to bump this thread but I've been searching the Asda site for answers and can't find any. To get a price guarantee voucher it says you have to go online and enter the details from your receipt and then it will let you print off a voucher for the difference. What happens if you don't have a printer? How else can you get your voucher? There's an app for your phone that you can use to check your receipt, but do you still have to have a printed voucher? The FAQ's say that if you don't have a computer to go to a local library and check there, but you'd still need to print off the voucher, can you do that for free at a library? No point in paying for a print off as it may be more than the voucher is worth.
Asda seem to be very proud of their "10% cheaper or we'll give you the difference", but what good is it if you haven't got internet access or a printer? It's a bit of a cop out if you ask me. Why can't they give you a voucher at the till like Sainsburys do. They say it's to keep costs down but I personally think it a way to get round sticking to their promises.
Does anyone know a way round this?
  • You need internet access to do the comparison. To shop in store you need a physical voucher. With online orders there is nothing to print. You perform the check and if a refund is due e-vouchers are added to your account to use with a later online order. If you have access to the internet but not a printer I assume that you could order online and use Click And Collect to obtain your groceries from a store without incurring any additional charges for printing or delivery.
N.B. (1) Click and Click requires a minimum spend of Ј25.
N.B. (2) You can only price check your most recent online order and you have to wait 48 hours after delivery/collection before performing the check. Possibly a problem if you are shopping daily.
  • It's more for my son than for me, he shops instore, and can check his receipts online but hasn't got a printer so can't print off the vouchers he's entitled to. So he's losing out on ЈЈ's every month. I shop at Sainsburys so I don't have that problem.
I'm not a fan of online grocery shopping. I've had bad experiences in the past where I've been sent something I didn't want, or even like, and when it comes to fresh meat and vegetables I like to have a good look at what I'm buying rather than someone else picking it for me. Call me old fashioned.
  • People have been using real email addresses?
  • The Asda store my son shops at is a very big one so maybe they have a printer he can use. I'll tell him to have a look or ask when he's there. You can't do it when you've just done your shopping though coz it says to wait until the next morning. He could check at home then take the receipts back next week and get the voucher before he does his shopping ... if they have a printer of course. It's certainly worth enquiring about. Thanks for the info.
  • Asdas across the country are taking their APG printers out my local is the biggest to second biggest in the uk. Both asdas here that did have print your own APG have removed the facility
So your son will either need to use the library, print at work or ask a friend
