A question about : Aqua Pay

Has anyone had experience with Aqua pay,or know anything about them.I have had an unauthorized payment on my cc from them.Just wondering if others have had similar experience.

• it's not from a bingo site is it? I can't remember which site it is but one of them uses it, I am using them all to get quidco payments!

  I think its from a bingo website that I joined via Greasy Palm.
  By depositing Ј10 - i got over Ј20 to play with and GP have paid me Ј12.50 to sign up and deposit!
  SO im still Ј2.50 in profit!

• I have been debited for a Ј500 transaction attributable to Aqua Pay which I have not authorised. I do NOT subscribe to any of their websites so I suspect
  this has been done by suspicious means and am taking matter up with my bank and Police.

  any advice would be appreciated as these firms are difficult to track down on the internet though parent site is in USA transaction was in London.
• This has just happened to me too, £200 has been debited to my credit card, it must be a suspicious company as my credit card company immediately blocked my card after the transaction. Did you manage to reclaim the money deary65 and pete4ne. My cc just says AQUA PAY LONDON on three ocassions on the same day.
• I play the bingo sites and if you use the official aqua pay it just shows as
  'AQUA PAY'
  'AQUA PAY LONDON' must be a dodgy company set up to trick people into thinking they're the official one.
• Snap - 250 USDollars 27052007 = Ј126.21 to AQUA PAY LONDON.

• Well i have used bingoballroom.com and getmintedbingo.com in the past and they were always just Aquapay.
  But a recent transaction for the first of those two sites is now showing as Aquapay London.
  So its a legit company but i'm guessing somebody fraudulantly obtained your card details.
• I have also had an unauthorized payment on my cc from Aquapay.
  Whilst I was trying to find out who this payment had gone out to,
  I discovered various companys.... all seemingly linked
  (or the same company?):confused: :confused: :confused:

  I had only just starting to check things out when I read your post ....
  I was also using the sites through*quidco*
  I have decided not to do it anymore
  as you don't know who you are dealing with properly,
  as the same contact info, e-mail addresses etc
  are used by the multiple company names
  I have had a payment taken from ... *getminted*
  and the same ammount taken from*Aquapay*
  Just what I needed ..........

• Hi, Have Had Ј134 Taken Out Of My Bank Account By " Aqua Pay".have Never Heard Of Them & Do Not Use Bingo/gambling Websites.only Use Ebay/paypal.have Informed My Bank They Are Investigating And Say I Should Get My Money Back In 5-10 Days.anyone Had The Same & Should I Close My Bank Acct And Open New One?

• Hello there, just been redirected to this thread from HUKD, as i was rather concerned. From what i can see this has nothing to do with the actual aquapay people, i've been using the bingo sites recently and have used aquapay with no trouble.
  What this thread points to is a 3rd party using the name fraudulently as most of the people that have been scammed haven't used any aquapay system!
  I realise the guy who posted on HUKD wasn't trying to scaremonger.... but to be honest this has scared the s**t out of me and so i was just trying to get my head around it. As someone whose debit card is only ever in one place and gathers dust between uses other than the internet, I can safely say noone but people I choose get my details.
  If there is any fraudulent activity in my account i'll let you all know as these are the people i've used recently and i'm on issue 09 of the card i used, so the number is quite recently new.

• Well just to be safe I have cancelled some of my bingo accounts....
• Signed up to Mirror Bingo and put in Ј20 to draw out my Ј13 winnings. Had an email from Aquapay saying they had credited Ј33.12 to my card 23rd August. No sign of the cash, have queried it and had the following reply:
  "It seems all withdrawals processed on 23 August 07 di not go through
  due some technical error. Our technical team is working on this and
  hope to have it resolved soon".
  Feeling rather nervous about whether i'll ever see my money and if my bank details are safe.
• Hi, is there any update on this?, was it a problem with Aqua pay (theiving staff!) or is it an ongoing problem?

  many things will be much clearer then :-)
• Literally hundreds of companies use Aquapay as a middleman, mainly bingo and casino websites. It's highly unlikely the fraud is by them, but rather by someone who has acquired your credit card details and is laundering the money through gambling sites.
• so if it is a middleman only, why are they running their own casino and bingo websites?
