A question about : Amazon/Ebay Q

Hi all,
I've got a few vids/cds/dvds/books to sell and have read on here that amazon is better for them than ebay unless they're collectable versions.
I've hada flick through the marketplace bit on amazon and most of the dvds I've got to sell are being listed by others for 99p! If I'm supposed to pay the postage on these how on earth can i profit if I need to compete with 99p!!!
Am I better of doing these ones on ebay or putting mine on amazon for a fiver and see what happens??
Sorry if silly Q but I'd rather sell on amazon if I can...just prefer to make a profit!!

  • It's not a silly question but it's more likely to get an answer on the board where all the ebay and amazon whizzkids hang out.....
  • amazon give you a postage allowance
£2.26 for books, 96p for CDs, £1.43 for videos, £1.08 for DVDs and £1.70 for Video Games

  • Well I've done well tonight, although not sold anything yet I've listed 18 dvd/cds tonight so I'm up and running!! Its soooo easy!!!
My only problem so far...I've got some dvds and cds to sell that I cant find on amazon so it wont let me sell them. Will I have to put these on ebay or is there a way to list them that I cant see?
One of them confused me as the only region 2 copy of one of the dvds states it as being dubbed and mine isn't so I didn't want to put it on there as something it isnt. I'm glad I looked at it properly to check it was right first.
    Thanks.
  • Hi there, I'm afraid that if they aren't on Amazon's database then you can't list them, it will have to be ebay. There's a cheap listing day soon if that's any help....
