A question about : Agreed an offer price...Now no contact from buyer!!

I sold an item on Ebay via an offer on Saturday. Since then I have emailed the buyer twice about collecting and paying for the item.

What is the procedure with ebay if someone doesn't respond and you want to relist?

Do ebay still expect their fee even though it didn't sell?

TBH it is worth about Ј70 more than they offered so I am quite happy to relist

Best answers:

  • I would not panic just yet. They may just be up the wall weekend , work, etc. Why not give them until mid week and then if you have not heard anything just relist it.
TBH is sounds as though if they don't go ahead you will make more in the long run away.
  • I did message them to say if I do not here from them by tonight I will relist.
How do I ensure ebay do not charge me by thinking it is sold?
  • Thanks I will give the sticky a read. I don't know how I would be able to get the phone number of the buyer as they have not responded at all.
I will let you know how I get on and will not relist it until ebay cancels the sale, if the buyer resurfaces that's fine too.
I just wanted the item gone whilst i'm off work this week
  • You can request details of your buyer here,
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/ebayadvsearch?_sofindtype=9
  • I rang the buyer who said 4 of his relatives use the account and would find out which one bought it. He then called to say person didn't want it and wanted to cancel the order. I have let ebay know that the buyer hasn't paid and wants to cancel and they are waiting for him to verify it.
  • Ebay has confirmed yesterday that he agreed to cancel. How long does the sold figure stay in my balance? I don't want ebay deducting their auction fee.
