A question about : Advice please.

I pay child support for my two daughters who I have no contact with (through their choice). One is 18 and I believe is still at college and my youngest has just turned 16. My youngest has been in all sorts of trouble and been placed in foster care many times. She has had a social worker for 4-5 years now and has been in the system as a vulnerable person, attending a special residency school for her behaviour. I found out, via a letter from Social Services, (which I presume was sent to me in error as my daughters mother requested I had no update about their lives) that she is pregnant and her baby is due very soon.
My question is how do I stand on paying child support via CSA. The reason I am asking this is because my ex partner fraudulently claimed child benefit for 2 years and also child support from me for my son who was in full time work but she claimed he didn't have a job. He worked for her partners company so this situation was taken advantage of. She claimed that when my daughter went into care she had told the CSA and they said it made no difference to the child support being paid to her. I didn't contact them myself as didn't want to make a bad situation worse but I am now feeling that I shouldn't be paying CSA for my daughter if she has her own baby. I know my ex will not advise the CSA but should I? As I said I do not want to make my relationship or lack of it, any worse by contacting the CSA if it is not going to make any difference as my ex partner takes my actions out on the children and tells them everything I do and they in turn take her side. Any advice would be appreciated.

Best answers:

  • Your youngest will be at schooling until at least 18 years of age, when the older one leaves schooling, it may continue for both if the elder one goes onto further education, from what you describe they may both leave schooling as soon as they are legally allowed to do so.
So for now you will have to contribute for both until at least September 7th 2015 then it may reduce to contributing for one until 1st Monday of 2017.
  • Apparently, I have to prove she has had her baby!
What do they want from me........a video???
    I give up....CSA, you win!
